The author, Nash Pangadapun, is the current Secretary General of the Maradeka, an alliance of 67 Muslim civil society groups and democratic political organizations. He espouses a non-violent Bangsamoro struggle for the peoples' right to their birthright to self-determination and freedom, and Islamic democracy. He is a peace advocate, Muslim political activist and analyst. He is also the Executive Director of the AMMENDI and enterprise development and humanitarian institution.
